VOLUNTEER

There are many ways to get involved with the Boston Chapter of Project Nanhi Kali! Click below and find out more.

[] Volunteer with the Boston Chapter

Attend our monthly meetings: Every month, the Boston Chapter holds meetings at the Boston Public Library to discuss upcoming events and brainstorm ideas for fundraising.

Volunteer with us at fundraising events in and around Boston.

Join our volunteer email group (http://groups.google.com/group/nanhikali-boston-volunteers/) to receive updates on Nanhi Kali news, events and volunteering opportunities.

[] Organize fundraisers

Set up a fundraising table at your workplace or university.

Collect funds for Project Nanhi Kali at cultural shows, social events and religious festivals.

Organize a club night event, a dinner party, marathons, walk-a-thons or a cultural show.

The Boston Chapter will prepare you and provide posters, banners and flyers.

[] Promote this cause at your workplace

Donation Matching: Most corporates have employee donation matching programs wherein a percentage of the employee’s donation to a non-profit is matched by the company. The Mahindra Foundation, the trust which started Nanhi Kali in India, is a 501 (c)(3) registered non-profit in US; it’s eligible for donation matching.

Corporate Grants: Most companies have grant programs for non-profits. Submit a proposal for a Project Nanhi Kali grant donation!

Post Project Nanhi Kali flyers and brochures on bulletin boards at your workplace or, if you are a student, at your school.

[] Involve your family and friends

This is probably the easiest and most effective way of spreading awareness. Tell your friends, family and colleagues about your association with Project Nanhi Kali. Discuss your personal experience of sponsoring a child.

Share the school progress reports that you receive for your Nanhi Kali. Encourage your contacts to spread the word.

[] Network with Nanhi Kali

[] Partner with local organizations and other non-profits

The Boston chapter has successfully partnered with several small and big corporations, universities and non-profits in the area to come up with ways to spread awareness or raise funds for the charity. We invite you to join us in this endeavor!
